Illustration assignment from 2023 with the goal to create a visual identity including a character that represents the self.
It all begins with a jumping point. I wanted to pin the aesthetics down and lilac handdrawn flowers contrasting with the bold black background seemed to work well.
Ideation phase. What’s the best way to approach a personal brand image which feels friendly and welcoming? I pinned down some potential concepts, such as the colour palette and the decision to do a handdrawn logo/mascot image.
Outcome:

In the end I went for a sort of neo futuristic look, inspired by streetwear and hypebeast aesthetics. This sketch was then touched up digitally and coloured.
The final outcome:
The design was then used in apparel mockups to test its application.
